Applications for the Fraternity & Sorority honor societies are due by 4 p.m. on Monday, September 20. Applications can be found HERE. Please note that the Rho Lambda application asks for a social security number; it is not necessary to provide that information.
Event Reservation Process
Please be reminded that ALL events, whether on or off-campus, must be registered. All non-alcohol events must be registered through Cardinal Link and if you need a room on campus, you must also request one on the EMS system. Only those listed as officers in Cardinal Link are able to make event reservations. Directions for events registration can be found HERE.
Service Opportunities & How to Report Hours
Project HELP has many, many service opportunities listed in Cardinal Link including the Battle of Plattsburgh Commemoration, the Clinton County Nursing Home Senior Prom, Campus Thrift Stop, Consent Week, Adirondack Harvest Festival, Zeebstock and the Kiwanis Street Coin Drive (coming soon!).
Please be reminded that it is imperative that if you sign up for a service opportunity that you follow through with your commitment, which includes showing up on time and staying for the entire duration of the shift. Individuals that abuse these opportunities will be removed from being able to access them.
It is important that you follow the correct procedures to report your volunteer hours. You MUST report them under Project HELP. Nothing else will be accepted. Instructions for reporting service hours can be found HERE.
Fraternity & Sorority Leadership Development Series
Mark your calendars for the upcoming workshops that are part of our Leadership Development Series and create in conjunction with the IFC/ISA DEI Committee:
Bystander Intervention
Wednesday, September 18 at 7 p.m., ACC Alumni Conference Room OR
Thursday, September 19 at noon, ACC Alumni Conference Room
(This will qualify as a Risk Management/Harm Reduction educational program requirement).
Fraternity & Sorority Life Lounge
The Fraternity & Sorority Life Lounge is available for all members to use at their leisure. Want a place to hang out between classes, a quiet place to study or meet as a small group? The Lounge door will be left open in the evenings Monday through Friday and chapter presidents have ID card access to it on the weekends. We recently had a Roku installed on the TV so feel free to use that, as well. It is located right beside the Fraternity & Sorority Life Office, Room 205 of the Angell College Center.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Interfraternally,
Allison
