Meet The Events Team: Dwayne T. Butchino

Who Are You And What Do You Do?
Hello! I'm Dwayne T. Butchino and I work on events and press for the Music and Theatre Departments here at SUNY Plattsburgh. Among my repsonsibilities are creating posters and press releases, making programs with event directors, and keeping an archive of information from our events. 

What Has Been Your Favorite Music Event at SUNY Plattsburgh?
I really enjoyed the Convergence Concert the coincided with ethe eclipse with back in 2024. To see the various ensmbles performing in the same concert was incredible. 

What Has Been Your Favorite Theatre Event at SUNY Plattsburgh?
It has to be She Kills Monsters that was done back in 2018. As a tabletop gamer, the play spoke to me, and I think the Theatre Department knocked it out of the park.

In Your Opinion, Why Should People Attend SUNY Plattsburgh Music and Theatre Events?
Art in all of its forms is important. It helps our imagination thrive, and brings out ideas that are new and refreshing. Our programs and performances are a great representation of that. Everyone involved, whether student, faculty, or staff, work to bring magic to the stage and share it with the audience.
