Merritt Billiter, Theatre AdjunctHey! We had a great summer. Lots of time swimming and playing games with my family. Went to Maine for vacation and hit the waves hard!

Kathy Koester, Theatre Adjunct (Dance)I conducted summer classes at Adirondack Dance and attended a Teachers Professional Development in Maryland in late July. I attended NYCB's performance of Coppelia in July. The last week of July we had Staycation Intensive with different forms of dance and a guest teaching from Finland. One highlight was Peruvian dance from different regions in Peru. I also had a choreography workshop where dancers participated and developed their own dances and group dances. I will be finishing up the summer attending the Cecchetti International Summer School in Forli, Italy.

Erika Guay, Theatre Professor, Coordinator of Theatrical Production & Technology CertificateI had a very busy summer running after kids. A big highlight was having our youngest place as 4H showmanship champ for chickens and goats in her age group. We spent lots of time camping, farming, doing projects, and designing for the Fall production of Bunnicula! (Photo is of our youngest with the goat she used for the costume class at the goat show).

Daniel Gordon, Music Professor, Saxophone
I had a musical summer. In June and July, I taught and performed in residence for the 18th time at the Suomen Työväen Musiikkiliitto international summer music festival, Aitoo, Finland. In August, I performed as featured soloist in Jacques Ibert’s Concertino da Camera and within the orchestra in Milhaud’s Creation of the World and Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue with the Lake Placid Sinfonietta, Stuart Malina, conductor. I consider this concert to be the culmination of my career.
