About Us

The Cardinal Green Corp (CGC) strives to bring sustainable programming and education to the Plattsburgh State community. Powered by student volunteers, this group's mission is to create engaging events, offer volunteer opportunities that focus on decreasing our carbon footprint and appreciating our environment.

One of the more important opportunities run by the Cardinal Green Corp is the Campus Thrift Initiative. This program focuses on having students donate their unwanted and used items to be purchased or donated. This helps students/staff or community members purchase needed items for their room/homes at a very affordable cost all while keeping these items out of the landfills. This initiative donates to local schools, charitable organizations and even to our Plattsburgh State classrooms. Every year hundreds of students participate in this effort and tons of items are donated and find new homes.
