General Election Information
The Election will take place on Thursday, April 9th from 9am to 8pm. Petitions to run need to be submitted by 3pm on March 27, 2026. The Board of Elections will review candidates immediately and notify students in the evening of March 27th about being eligible to start campaigning if they meet the requirements.
Executive Branch
The Executive Branch is made up positions that are both elected and appointed via job applications. These members work 5 hours a week and attend two meetings weekly: the Executive Branch meets on Tuesdays at 5:30 PM and also have their respective board meetings.
President
- Shall be the leader and official spokesperson of the Student Association.
- Shall be an elected official.
- Shall call and preside over the meetings of the Executive Council.
- The President shall only vote during Executive Council in a tie.
- Shall have the power to veto Student Senate Legislation.
- Boards and Committees they Serve on: Executive Council, College Auxiliary Board, Faculty Senate, and other boards as they are requested
Vice President
- Shall become President upon resignation or incapacity of the President.
- Shall be a voting member of Executive Council.
- Shall perform the necessary duties of the President in the absence or inability of the President.
- Shall be responsible for the internal coordination and office management of the Student Association with direction from the Student Association Liaison.
- Shall be the Chairperson of the Student Senate.
Treasurer (Major in Accounting Requirement)
- Shall be the financial officer of the Student Association and will administer the financial affairs of the Student Association.
- In charge of the 2026-2027 budget estimated to be $774,375.
- Shall be voting members of Executive Council.
- Shall be an elected official.
- Shall oversee income and expenses of all Student Association clubs and organizations with direction from the Executive Director.
- Shall be responsible for creating, submitting, and presenting the annual Student Association Budget to the Student Senate. f. Shall execute, in the name and on behalf of the Student Association, all documents and contracts required by the Student Association with guidance from the Executive Director.
